U.S. Citizen Services

The U.S. Embassy in Seoul is responsible for and provides all consular services to American Citizens throughout the Republic of Korea.  Please visit the American Citizens Services (ACS) website to learn more about services available to American Citizens in Korea.  If you cannot find the information you are looking for or have further questions, please e-mail the Consular Information Unit (seoulinfoACS@state.gov) at the U.S. Embassy in Seoul.

Embassy’s ACS outreach to Busan or Daegu is scheduled as below.

• Busan

June 25th  09:00 - 12:00  
June 25th  13:00 - 17:00
June 26th  09:00 - 13:00

• Daegu

July 30th 09:00 - 13:00

An appointment is required for services in Busan or Daegu.  Call the U.S. Embassy in Seoul at 02-397-4114 to schedule an appointment.  Please specify that you would like to make an appointment for consular services in Busan and which date you would prefer (it can be any of those listed above).  Once you make an appointment, you will receive further details, including location.

Please note that when providing consular services outside of the U.S. Embassy, we are only able to accept payment by money order in U.S. dollars for the exact amount of the service made payable to the "CASHIER FMC U.S. EMBASSY SEOUL". 
Money orders can be made at Kookmin Bank, Shinhan Bank, and Korea Exchange Bank.
